What kind of weather do you prefer on your vacation?
Cancun features a tropical wet and dry climate under the Köppen climate classification. The weather is fairly consistent all year, with an average temperature of 26 °C (79 °F). The hot and humid season lasts from May to October, and during the day temperatures might reach 35 °C (95 °F). From November to March, temperatures during the evening are around 20 °C (68 °F).

Cancun is best known for its snorkeling and diving opportunities and while most enthusiasts would be happy exploring the reef, the cenotes are even more sensational. These cenotes (which make up miles upon miles of caves and caverns) are freshwater underground sinkholes – the largest of which is known as Ox Bel Ha, which at 134 miles, makes it the longest underwater cave in the world! You can explore them for yourself if you’re an avid diver, while some areas are fine for snorkeling or just surface swimming in too.
